Queste foto fanno parte della serie "movimentazioni". Un tentativo di rappresentare l'andamento dell'agire nello spostamento. Il progetto nasce dalla foto “da porto ercole a porto santo stefano” che ho scattato nel 2004. La foto mi ha sempre affascinato, ma è rimasta nel cassetto per parecchio tempo tanto che avevo dimenticato di averla scattata. Rivedendola ho deciso di riprendere il discorso. Il movimento e la sua rappresentazione è un tema che mi accompagna sempre e che prende forza e con esso la voglia di esplorarlo soprattutto quando sono in viaggio/in movimento, del resto quasi tutto il mio modo di fotografare scaturisce dal movimento e dai viaggi che faccio. Ma in particolar modo movimentazione ne è la rappresentazione visiva che più si avvicina al mio modo di vedere lo spazio e il tempo. Spesso cerco riscontro dei miei ragionamenti in parole e scritti di altri che con le parole riescono dove io provo ad arrivare con le immagini, tra le citazione che si avvicinano al mio modo di vedere c’è né una di Italo Calvino “L'occhio non vede cose ma figure di cose che significano altre cose” e una di Merleau-Ponty che nel fenomenologia della percezione dice “Il nostro campo percettivo è fatto di “cose” e “vuoti tra le cose”... dapprima vedo come cose degli insiemi che non ho mai visto muoversi: delle case, il sole, dei monti ... Se ci mettessimo a vedere come cose gli intervalli fra le cose, l’aspetto del mondo ... muterebbe sensibilmente.” Potrei andare avanti con altre citazioni ma sarebbe solo un elenco, quello che è sicuro che tutti questi concetti li porto con me è quando scatto una foto di questo progetto li ritrovo tutti rappresentati e me ne rafforzano il significato. Praticamente tutto si muove anche quando gli oggetti attorno a noi sono immobili, le loro immagini sulla retina si muovono, perchè la testa e gli occhi non sono mai interamente fermi. Il foro stenopeico come occhio è un formidabile amico nel sorprendere quel movimento che spesso noi non riusciamo o non siamo capaci di cogliere.

These photos are part of the "movements". An attempt to represent the development agency in the move. The project stems from the picture "from Porto Ercole Porto Santo Stefano" I took in 2004. The picture has always fascinated me, but remained in the drawer for a long time so I missed taking it. Looking back I decided to take up the subject. The movement and its representation is an issue that takes me forever and that gains strength and with it the desire to explore especially when I travel / moving, indeed almost any sort of my photography stems from moving and traveling I do. But it is especially moving visual representation that is closest to my way of seeing space and time. Often I try finding my thoughts into words and writings of others with words where I can try to get the images between the quotation which are close to my view there is neither an Italo Calvino's "The eye does not see things but images of things that mean other things "and that, in Merleau-Ponty's phenomenology of perception says" Our field of perception is made of "things" and "gaps between things" ... first things I see as the sets that I have never seen moving: homes, sun, mountains ... If there were we to see how things intervals between things, the appearance of the world ... would change significantly. "I could go on with other citations but merely a list, what is sure that all of these concepts will carry with me is when I take a picture of this project and I find them all represented strengthens the meaning. Virtually everything moves even when the objects around us are immobile, their images on the retina moves, because the head and eyes are never completely still. The pinhole eye is as formidable a surprising friend in the movement that we often fail or are unable to grasp.
